International Day of Happiness

20 March 2017

It is International Day of Happiness today, Monday 20th March: a global celebration to mark the United Nations International Day of Happiness. It is coordinated by Action for Happiness, a non-profit movement of people from 160 countries, supported by a partnership of like-minded organisations.

A profound shift in attitudes is underway all over the world. People are now recognising that ˜progress™ should be about increasing human happiness and well-being, not just growing the economy.

Should you wish to celebrate International Day of Happiness, we have two titles which may be of interest to you:

Stephanie Davies™ Laughology (£12.99) is a practical self-help guide to using laughter and humour as a thinking skill and life skill to make you feel better and enable you to communicate more effectively. Written in an easy to understand, fun, informative way, the author takes a psychological look at how humour can influence your behaviour, help you feel better and live a happier life.

Dave Keeling™s The Little Book of Laughter (£10.99) demonstrates why having a laugh should be in your job description and shows you the benefits that humour can bring to the learning environment.
