In this session Matt is joined by Co-Authors of a recently published book called Tails from the Classroom Dr Helen Lewis and Dr Russell Grigg. The book discusses the research behind the benefits of having animals in the classroom setting and some of the considerations for schools when planning on incorporating this type of service in their school. As well as Helen and Russell, Matt is joined by four teachers who have had experience of the Pets As Therapy Read2Dogs scheme and represent schools from England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Island. The teachers ask Helen & Russell some questions as well as sharing their own experiences of how PAT visiting volunteers have benefited the children they educate.
