World Philosophy Day

November 15, 2016

Join in the celebrations on Thursday the 17th of November 2016.

By celebrating World Philosophy Day each year, UNESCO underlines the enduring value of philosophy for the development of human thought, for each culture and for each individual.

To celebrate the occasion, The Philosophy Foundation will be running two events at Forest Hill Library in London. From 4-6pm there will be an opportunity for parents and children to take part in philosophical enquiries based around questions from the Philosophy Trail, then from 7-9pm there will be an event for adults to come along and explore some of the same philosophical issues around the theme of community with philosophers from The Foundation.

Click here to find out more and to register for your free place at the World Philosophy Day events.

The Philosophy Foundation have published a series of great books with us, including a recent paperback edition of their hugely popular title The Philosophy Shop - a veritable emporium of philosophical puzzles and challenges to develop thinking in and out of the classroom.
