Don’t Doubt the Rainbow is a new contemporary detective series with a difference! Each book in the four-book series is an adventure story in its own right – set in a diverse range of settings from the south-east of England to Canada and Poland. 

Throughout each book, the reader is encouraged to explore how things are not always how they seem – how our ‘thinking’ often represents our imagined reality rather than what is necessarily true – and examines the nature of the link between thoughts and feelings 

As a result, this groundbreaking series will provide middle-grade and early teen readers with psychological tools they can use to successfully navigate the challenges of their own lives and develop their “innate health”.

🕵️ In The Five Clues, 13-year-old detective, Edie Marble, needs to solve puzzles laid down by her murdered mother to bring criminals and a hitman to justice. 

🕵️ Three months later, in Outside Chance, Edie takes on ecoterrorists planning a devastating attack, while working out the vital links between four connected cases.

🕵️ In American Mystery, Edie travels through Canada, the USA and Dartmoor to solve a long-buried family secret and put evil wrongdoers behind bars.

🕵️ Professor Anthony Kessel is a senior NHS public health physician, whose position has made him acutely aware of the mental health crisis affecting children and young adults. 

This series has been written for middle-grade and early teen readers, born from Anthony’s desire to address this crisis in a new and creative way. It harnesses his professional expertise and understanding to educate young readers about their innate mental wellbeing. In each book, we see 13-year-old protagonist Edie Marble using new approaches to understanding how the mind works which is currently proving invaluable in improving mental health in children internationally.
