Dr Russell Grigg on Teachwire.net - What Does It Mean To Teach With Moral Purpose?

September 15, 2016

'So you joined the profession to change lives, but how can you be sure you're taking young people in the right direction?'

Dr Russell Grigg, author of the recently published title Big Ideas in Education has written a feature for Teachwire.net discussing what it means to teach with moral purpose.

Click here to read Russell’s article and here to take a closer look at his book, which provides readers with a concise and reliable introduction to 12 ideas which are at the core of educational practice. The ideas chosen are general rather than subject-specific in nature. In turn, they invite the reader to look at teaching in wider society, address elements of learning which teachers actively promote, raise questions about why, how and what to teach and, finally, look at ways of improving the quality of education.
