The Annual SEND Update 2018 is taking place tomorrow!
Monday, 21 May 2018
"Using research to inform practice for pupils with SEND.

Why is this conference relevant?

Irrespective of the current problems within the SEND system or the lack of funding, now is the time to focus our attention on what the latest evidence-based research tells us works to support learners in the classroom.

In addition as a SENCO, knowing how to equip your classroom teachers with the knowledge and skills to support different types of needs is essential to ensure all pupils make good progress.

But with so much information out there, and so little time to sift through everything, knowing what works for pupils with SEND is easier said than done.

This new and timely conference will highlight the latest research surrounding SEND whilst also importantly, giving you the skills to translate this into effective practice in every classroom in your school."

Four years on, we will be hosting our 5th Northern Rocks conference. On Saturday 19th May 2018, a wide variety of education specialists will be heading to Leeds and we hope you can join us.

In addition, we™re committed to our principle that education exists to make the world a better place and that that future lies in the hands of our young people. This year we™ll have some of those young people telling us what they think about education, what they hope for in the future and what they would like to change.
